A Fresh New Look for the Lounge

Merlijn's lounge, bar and restaurant have had a full refit. Not that anything was wrong before, but the owners saw room for improvement, and it shows! Think warm tones, lush greenery, a stunning wine display and an interior that invites you to sit back and let the world drift by outside the windows. A lot of attention has been paid to improving the acoustics in the lounge, there's more technology behind it than you might think. And after the first few weeks, it turns out it's a success! We thoroughly enjoyed the 11-day Brugge to Amsterdam itinerary. Accommodations are excellent, Chef Christina creates magic from her kitchen, and the scenic countryside is postcard-perfect. The bikes and equipment are excellent and Wi-Fi-helmets a must-have. Not all barge and bike trips have Wi-Fi helmets. The group size of 20 was excellent. Finally, each crew member was welcoming and excellent in their role. Pack light and be open to weather-related and urban traffic issues.
