Join us for an unforgettable journey with Merlijn in 2025

We at Merlijn have been working hard to finalize our 2025 tours into every little detail. No effort was spared (and neither was our night's rest in the last few days), to make sure the tours will launch today!

We've dedicated ourselves to developing beautiful itineraries with breathtaking views. We took a good look at existing routes, designed a new route, and reintroduced some old successful routes. Ensuring each journey is memorable..

Going online you might see your preferred date already booked. This is possible because we have been promoting our tours to groups and partners for longer. If you cruised with us last year, you probably already saw the sailing schedule on the table. We are very proud to share that a few group reservations did start this way. Nevertheless, there’s still plenty to choose from and more tours than ever are available for individual bookings!

‘Booked by an agency’, can be seen noted at some tours. This means the entire tour has been reserved by one of our partners. They re-sell our tours to their clientele, sometimes with extra services before and after our Bike & Barge Cruise. If you wish to book that specific tour, please contact us and we can let you know the agency and if they have cabins available. Or book another date directly via our website.

We're thrilled to share that these adventures are now ready for you. Highlighting three of our favorites:

We are Coen & Cristina, here is a short introduction about us, the proud new owners of Merlijn.

A dream coming true, that is.......

This bike and barge trip was one of the most memorable vacations we\'ve ever taken. From the moment we stepped aboard, the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. Their kindness, warmth, and enthusiasm set the tone for the entire journey and made us feel more like guests in someone\'s home than travelers on a tour. The boat was beautiful and comfortable, a peaceful place to return to after each day of cycling through stunning scenery. Every meal was a delightfresh, delicious, and prepared with such care that dining together became one of the highlights of each day. What truly made this experience special, though, was the size of the boat and the sense of community it created. With a smaller group, it didn\'t take long for conversations to turn into friendships. By the end of the trip it felt like we were leaving a group of old friends rather than people we had met only days before. This trip gave us so much more than beautiful places to see and bike rides to enjoy. It gave us meaningful connections, wonderful memories, and a reminder of how special travel can be when it\'s shared with genuinely caring people. We will treasure this experience for years to come.
