Behind the scenes: a Merlijn workation

The driving forces behind Merlijn have briefly stepped ashore! Coen and Cristina are spending a few weeks in Spain on what they like to call a “workation”, enjoying a warmer climate and beautiful surroundings while working on Merlijn behind the scenes.

Recently, they attended an olive oil tasting. Did you know Spain is the largest olive oil producer in the world? Naturally, they chose a small family-run producer for a tour and tasting. They were so impressed that they immediately brought back 30 litres of olive oil, ready to be enjoyed on board in the coming season.

Because even behind the scenes, Merlijn is always about quality, craftsmanship and good taste.

We did the Koblenz to Merzig trip at the end of Sept 2017. It was a 60th bday celebration and we had a blast. The crew was exceptional. The bikes are great...much better than I expected. The mornings were chilly and sun in the afternoon. You will help arrange any post travel needs you have for a taxi, train, etc. Bed and food fantastic. Thank you for making our celebration so special!
