Merlijn’s support vehicle, included from 2026

There will be a staffed support vehicle on several days during the scheduled bike tours.

We often say it: Merlijn is always looking for ways to improve the experience. And this improvement has been on our wish list for a long time, but it has always seemed out of reach, until now.
After careful consideration, the time has finally come. Starting in 2026, we’ll be adding a manned support vehicle to most of our bike tours! While we’re not yet sure exactly what form it will take, some providers refer to it as 'van support,' 'van service,' or even the less flattering 'sack wagon.' Regardless of the name and form, we’re confident it will be a fantastic addition to the service we already offer on our Bike & Barge cruises, further expanding the already long list of inclusivities at Merlijn.

Hi friends of Merlijn!

Bob and I wanted to thank you for another great trip on the Merlijn. We always enjoy your hospitality and cooking! We especially enjoyed your German friend Klaus. The day we left for the airport Lia and Klaus graciously carried our luggage to the taxi stand and made sure we were safely on our way to the airport. Flights were good all the way home. Have a great summer. We are already looking forward to another trip on the Merlijn and hopefully with Klaus!
